Major Program Interventions of DIDA:

  1. Support sustainable agricultural practices, NRM practices using time tested indigenous management systems and institutions, using the natural resources for eco-tourism, implement activities ensuring climate change resilience, promote environmental education, conservation and rehabilitation, biodiversity conservation through empowering the communities,
  2. Supporting the disadvantaged and marginalized communities to fill the wide gaps in socio-economic facilities;
  3. Provide trainings for indigenous communities, youth and women based on their traditional knowledge for skills upgrading, support artisans, and improve general education access to the indigenous communities, promoting the folk music and dance of the people as means of self esteem building and peaceful co-existence among different communities besides to being source of income and inspiration
  4. Improving health services access to communities, prevent communities from infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS and improve access to family planning
